妈妈分苹果的故事

以下是阅读到的一则小故事与大家分享。

每个人一生中最早接受到的教育来自家庭，来自母亲的家庭教育。美国一位著名的教育心理学家为了研究母亲对人一生的影响，在美国选出五十位来自各领域中获得卓越成就的人士，同时又选出五十位有犯罪记录的人士，进行了一项调查，请他们谈谈母亲对他们的影响。其中两封调查信给他最深刻的印象。一封来自白宫的著名高官，另一封来自监狱的犯人。他们谈的都是同一件事：“小时候母亲分苹果”。

来自监狱的犯人在信中这样写：小时候，有一天妈妈拿来几个红苹果，大小各不同。我一眼就看见中间的一个又红又大，十分喜欢，非常想要。这时，妈妈把苹果放在桌上，问我和弟弟：“你们想要哪个？” 我刚想说要又红又大的那个，这时弟弟抢先说出我想说的话。妈妈听了，瞪了他一眼，责备他说：“好孩子要学会把东西让给别人，不能总想着自己。” 于是，我灵机一动，改口说：“妈妈，我想要那个最小的，把大的留给弟弟吧。”

妈妈听了，非常高兴，在我的脸上亲了一下，并把那个又红又大的苹果奖励给我。我得到了我想要的东西，从此，我学会了说谎。以后，我又学会了打架、偷、抢，为了得到想要的东西，我会不择手段。直到现在，我被送进监狱。

那位来自白宫的著名高官人士是这样写的：小时候，有一天妈妈拿来几个红苹果，大小各不同。我和弟弟们都争着要那个最红最大的，妈妈把那个最红最大的苹果举在手中，对我们说：“这个苹果最红最大最好吃，谁都想要得到它。很好，现在，让我们做个比赛，我把门前的草坪分成三块，你们三人一人一块，负责修剪好，谁干得最快最好，谁就有权得到它。” 我们三人比赛除草，结果，我赢了那个最红最大的苹果。

我非常感谢母亲，她让我明白一个最简单也最重要的道理；想要得到最好的，就必须努力争第一。她一直都这样教育我们，也是这样做的。在我们家里，你想要得到什么好东西，就要通过比赛来赢得，这很公平，你想要什么，想要多少，就必须付出多少努力和代价！

推动摇篮的手，就是推动世界的手。母亲是孩子的第一任教师，你可以教他说第一句谎言，也可以教他做一个诚实及永远努力争第一的人。愿妈妈们都能做个世上伟大的妈妈！

3H班學生集體發燒症状新闻

（霹靂‧江沙）因週四（8月6日）出現集體發燒症狀，崇華小學週五（8月7日）有183名學生缺課，超過全校學生總數的五分之一。

崇華小學校長胡福強週五受詢時表示，崇華小學總校週五早上有99名學生缺課。過後，又有3名學生因發燒，1名學生因肚子痛而提早回家。

他說，分校週五則有46名學生缺課，加上週四宣佈停課的3H班的34名學生，整個學校共有183名學生缺席。

他指出，校方週五早上已派發口罩給學生，防止病情傳播開來。

胡福強澄清，崇華小學早前出現的學生集體發燒不是A（H1N1）型流感確診病例，希望家長們放心，讓孩子來上課。

他說，衛生局醫護人員週四向他表示，化驗結果需要一段時間才能出爐，而至週五早上為止，他還未接到衛生局的報告。

他表示，學校週五下午的課外活動已取消，因為學校在8月杪將有月考，所以一般上課外活動都會暫停，而此校週一照常上課。

江沙崇華小學三年級3H班學生出現集體發燒症狀，校方為了安全起見，週四早上主動聯絡衛生局，要求派人前來為學生作檢查。衛生局過後派醫護人員為受影響的學生測量體溫及派發藥物。

青蛙的故事 THE TALE OF THE FROGS

从前，有一群青蛙组织了一场攀爬比赛。比赛的终点是：一个非常高的铁塔的塔顶。
一大群青蛙围着铁塔看比赛，给比赛的青蛙加油。

比赛开始了。
老实说：群蛙中没有谁相信这些小小的青蛙会到达塔顶，它们都在议论：
“这太难了！它们肯定到达不了塔顶！”
”它们绝不可能成功的，塔太高了！”
听到这些，一只接一只的青蛙开始泄气了，除了那些情绪高涨的几只还在往上爬。
群蛙继续喊叫：“没有谁能爬上顶的！”
越来越多的青蛙累坏了，退出了比赛。但有一只却还在爬，而且越爬越高，一点没有放弃的意思。

最后，其它所有的青蛙都退出了比赛，除了一只，它费了很大的劲，终于成为唯一一只到达塔顶的胜利者。
很自然，其它所有的青蛙都想知道它是怎么成功的。
有一只青蛙跑上前去问那只胜利者：“你哪来那么大的力气跑完全程？”
胜利者不说话。它发现那只胜利者原来是个聋子。

这个故事的寓意是：
永远不要听信那些习惯消极悲观看问题的人，因为他们只会粉碎你内心最美好的梦想与希望。总是记住你听到的充满信心的话语，因为所有你听到的或读到的话语都会影响你的行为。

所以，总是要你保持积极，乐观！而且，最重要的是：当有人告诉你的梦想不可能成真时，你要变成聋子，对此充耳不闻！要总是想着：我一定能做到！

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell
into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how
deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.

The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with
all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they
were as good as dead.

Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and
gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard
as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain
and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out.

When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog
explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him
the entire time.

This story teaches two lessons. There is power of life and death in the
tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and
help them make it through the day. A destructive word to someone who is down can
be what it takes to kill them.

紅蘿蔔 • 蛋 • 咖啡豆

放三碗水在火上燒熱
第一個碗裡放入紅蘿蔔
第二個碗裡放入些雞蛋
第三個碗裡放入已經被磨成粉的咖啡豆
煮15分鐘
將裡面的材料取出
紅蘿蔔本來是硬的 但現在變軟了
雞蛋的裡面本來是軟的 但現在變硬了
咖啡的粉末不見了 但是水變了顏色而且有香醇的味道

現在想想人生
人生並非都是輕鬆的 人生並非都是舒適的
有時候人生是很艱困的 事情並非如我們預期
別人並不會如我們所想的善待我們
我們努力工作 但得不到成果
當我們面對困難時發生了什麼事

現在, 想想這三個碗
滾燙的水就像人生所遭遇的困難

我們可以像紅蘿蔔
一開始 我們強而有力
結束時 我們沮喪且虛 沒有任何鬥志
所以 不要像紅蘿蔔

我們可以像雞蛋
一開始 我們有柔軟且敏感的心
結束時 我們沒了知覺 失去同情
我們恨其他人 我們也不愛自己
我們變得鐵石心腸 沒有溫暖只有痛苦
所以 不要像雞蛋

我們可以像咖啡豆
水並不會改變咖啡的粉末 而是咖啡的粉末改變了水
水因為咖啡粉末而變的不一樣
看它 聞它 喝它
水溫越熱 味道越好

我們可以像咖啡豆
我們從面對的困難中把事情做好
我們學到新的事物
我們獲得新的知識 新的技能 新的能力
我們在經驗中成長
我們把週遭的事物變得更好

要成功
我們必須試了又試
我們必須相信我們所作的
我們必須不放棄
我們必須有耐心
我們必須一直努力

問題與困難 給了我們變強變好的機會
當事情不順利時 我們希望怎樣
我們要像紅蘿蔔
或是雞蛋
或是咖啡豆

ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG, OR A COFFEE BEAN?

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as if as soon as one problem was solved a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen.

The mother filled three pots with water.

In the first, she placed carrots.
In the second she placed eggs.
And the last she placed ground coffee beans.

She let them sit and boil without saying a word. About twenty minutes later, she turned off the burners.

She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she said, "Tell me what you see."

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied. (You known the tone of voice.)

She brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did, and noted that they felt soft.

She then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg inside.

Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma.

The daughter then asked, "So, what's the point, mother?" (Remember the tone of voice.)

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity - boiling water - but each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.

The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid center. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its insides had become hardened.

The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water...they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your
door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot , an egg, or a coffee bean?"

Think of this: Which am I?

Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt
and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat?
Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial
hardship, or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my outer shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water - the very circumstances that bring the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor of the bean. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you instead of letting it change you.

When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to another level?
